(You can find all the pictures for this post at the bottom. There are lots, and the layout got kind of weird.)

The last couple weeks were busy again, but fun. It's midterm, so we have a lot of due dates for papers coming up in the next week, so I'll be busy again this week. I bought the first two music CDs I've ever bought: Final Fantasy VI Piano Collection and Chiptuned Rockman. I took a nice walk after it rained last night while listening to the FFVI music and I ended up going in a big circle without realizing it.

The BGU school festival was great! We finished a working version of our game, "せいぎのシルバウェア" (Seigi no Shirubawea / Silverware of Justice). We got some Japanese students and faculty to play our game. We're going to keep working on it until we have a polished and finished product, and then I'll share it online!

We went on a field trip to the headquarters of Asashi Shinbun, a leading newspaper in Japan. It was interesting, but the NHK field trip we went on afterward was even more interesting. Even better was the Ghibli Museum. Studio Ghibli is the animation studio responsible for such classic Japanese hits as Princes Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. I can't wait to watch more of their movies!
On the left side of the picture you can see a Totoro through the glass!

I got a nice care package from my parents! It's a great box of American stuff that you can't find in Japan. I can't believe they don't have M&Ms here. You would think they'd be really popular. I tried another interesting candy made of gelatin. It kind of reminds me of jello, and it has two wrappers. You take the first wrapper off, but you can eat the second one. They're fruit flavored, and they're really tasty!

I also went to another festival at Nezu Shrine and to a nearby okonomiyaki restaurant. We also went to a Pokemon Center!

Anyway, I have to get to bed. Oh yeah, I'm also starting to learn C# and XNA. So far I ported my AC3D model loader from C++ as an exercise, and I have a fancy spaceship rotating in 3D. Maybe I can make games good enough for Xbox!

Heh, looks like I forgot two of the strokes on シ in our advertisement outside. It looks like ノ instead.
It reads "nolverware" instead of "silverware!"

Actually, I'm pretty sure someone erased them as a joke. I would never make such an amateur mistake!
(Because I checked other pictures and they were totally there!)

I hate you....

First, since when could we comment?!? I never noticed that.
And I would trade anything in the world to go to the Pokemon Center....
